Joszczuk Antonina
Graduate of the Faculty of Ceramics and Glass at the Eugeniusz Geppert Academy of Art and Design in Wrocław. In 2016 she obtained her PhD. In her work, she focuses mainly on glass objects and installations, with which she appropriates already existing spaces. She is intrigued by what is difficult to accept, unconscious, forgotten, strange. Working with one material, she tries to show its two sides – one beautiful and the other one more difficult to accept. In her search for new relations and contexts, she uses various glass techniques and combines glass with other materials. The artist most often uses "hot" forming methods in furnace and blast furnace techniques, she also sculpts in glass using sandblasting.
