Creates artistic as well as utility ceramics. In the years 1980-1985 he studied ceramics at the State College of Fine Arts (currently the Eugeniusz Geppert Academy of Art and Design) in Wrocław. Since 1988 he has been working at his alma mater. In 2014 he obtained the title of professor. So far he has presented his works at 144 exhibitions, including 26 individual ones. He has also participated in 15 international competition exhibitions, including: Vallauris (France) 1990; Faenza (Italy) 1995, 1997, 2003; Gualdo Tadino (Italy) 1996; Zarautz (Spain) 1996 – 1st prize, 1998; Cairo (Egypt) 1998, 2000, Mino (Japan) 2011 – honorary mention.
