For me, physical work on wood objects is a form of meditation and pleasure. The Reliefs are a prime example of this. They were created as a series of gestures: their form, which refers to an expanse of water disturbed by a falling drop, is above all an exercise in gesture, involving not only the arm and the hand holding the strum, but also the shoulders, the muscles of the back and abdomen and the legs. Reliefs were also the first strictly decorative objects in my work. - Paweł Jasiewicz
