The objects in the "Being and Nothingness" series are a reflection on the inseparable bond between emptiness and accumulation, being and nothingness, life and death. One conditions the existence of the other. The general, initial shape of the works was made in cooperation with a glassworker, through the free manipulation of semi-liquid glass and winding its successive layers. The final form was developed in the "cold" technique, by sculpting with a stream of sand under pressure.
