The objects from the series "Dzika barć" ("Wild beehive") refer in their structure to the forms and structures of natural, organic formations created on branches and inside trees by forest bees. Glass, especially the one formed using glassworks methods, has many features that we can easily assign to the world of nature. The moment of winding a hot portion of material from the furnace pot around the shin has always been associated by the artist with the form of honey. The colour, light reflection, optics and work of these two materials seem very close to each other. The similarity can be seen not only in visual values, but also in the production process itself, in which the fundamental feature is unity, the vision of a common goal and the ability to work in a group. In the case of bees, it will be the moment of collecting and storing nectar. During the creation of a glass object - mutual observation and cooperation of the glassworks team. However, all this comes down to a situation in which we become "consciously present". After all, we are not lonely individuals existing in a vacuum. We are part of a larger whole, and nature constantly reminds us of this in a simple way. The "Dzika barć" series is a component of the cycle "OD-NOWA". In this project, the artist focuses on the subject of climate change and destruction that happening due to the expansive activity of man on the natural environment. What connects each of the forms is the element of fire. The structures and organic forms reflected on the surface of the glass are a documentation of what was inevitably destroyed in its flames, while at the same time opening up space to new things. On the one hand, presenting fire as destructive, and on the other, as creating nature.
